OUR JOURNEY to comfort and joy started in ancient Side, Turkey where the blue waters of the Mediterranean meet the olive trees and dance with the scent of jasmine and linden trees.
Bjoy brand, meaning ‘Be Joyful’ aims to bring comfort and joy with its stylish designs using the softest and most comfortable fabrics. That's why we create timeless designs and use environmentally friendly fabrics woven from real cotton fibers.
Bjoy brand, which started with home textile products inspired by the vibrant colors of the Mediterranean, integrated with the woodblock printing handicraft of the Black Sea and Anatolia, continued with kimonos and finally women's clothing. We work with talented designers to enhance your natural shape and support you in feeling more beautiful, more confident, and more at peace in your body.
MEET THE OWNER: FEZA KARAKAS
Feza spent his youth, high school education and the first years of his college education in Ankara, Turkey. She got married in 1979 and moved to the USA with her husband. She graduated from Houston University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Finance. She attended the Western Connecticut University Psychology and the University of Connecticut Social Work Master's degree. Due to her husband's work, she lived in the Middle East, South America and Europe for many years. Feza, a mother of two children and the mother of 5 grandchildren, currently resides in both Turkey and the USA.
Feza's awareness and inner journey, began by reading the writings of master’s such as Mevlana, Ömer Khayyam and Hafez in his childhood. He fell in love with The Work method after meeting Byron Katie in Amsterdam in 2004. After her The Work training in 2005, she became an Internationally Certified the Work Facilitator in 2011. In 2019, she founded the Awareness, Meditation and Acceptance Workshop FMK Wisdom Workshop with her husband Metin Karakaş, who is also a Certified the Work Facilitator. Since the beginning of 2019, he has been teaching at FMK Wisdom Workshop, giving corporate and private seminars, organizing online workshops, designing courses and writing books. Due to her husband's work, she lived in the Middle East, South America and Europe for many years. Feza, a mother of two children and the mother of 5 grandchildren, currently resides in both Turkey and the USA.
Awareness and experiencing one's true self are important for Feza, who has loved being free since her childhood. That’s how she created the Bjoy brand, specially designed and crafted products, for free-spirited women.
